Structural/Civil Engineering Services (Ontario)Structural engineering services for reviews, assessments, and stamped engineering letters supporting building permits and construction projects across Ontario. Services include evaluation of existing structural systems for renovations, alterations, and new construction in accordance with the Ontario Building Code.Stamped engineering letters are provided for municipal permit submissions based on professional engineering review. Additional services include permit support and technical review of drawings. All services are provided by a licensed Professional Engineer authorized to practise in Ontario under a PEO Certificate of Authorization, with professional liability insurance.

His practice focuses on structural reviews, permit support, and stamped engineering letters for building and renovation projects. He works with homeowners, contractors, and small developers on residential and small-scale developments. Services are provided across Toronto, the Greater Toronto Area, and throughout Ontario. All work is delivered in accordance with the Ontario Building Code under a PEO Certificate of Authorization, with professional liability insurance.

Arvin Afshin Engineering (“AAE”) is an Ontario engineering practice operated by Arvin Afshin. This policy applies to information received through arvinafshinengineering.ca, PrivateEmail, AAE's Facebook Page Messenger and Instagram professional account, and related AAE project-intake systems.Information we collect
AAE may collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, social-media username or account identifier, property address, project description, requested services, messages, drawings, photographs, videos, reports, permit documents and other attachments. Message records may include provider message IDs, conversation IDs, sender and recipient identifiers, timestamps, reply relationships, delivery status and attachment metadata or hashes.The website and advertising tools may also collect limited technical and attribution data such as IP address, browser and device information, referral source, pages or actions viewed, cookie identifiers, UTM parameters or Google click identifiers. AAE does not intentionally collect payment-card information through Meta messaging.How we use information
AAE uses information to respond to inquiries, determine whether a message relates to engineering or construction services, reject spam and unrelated messages, match an inquiry to an existing project, prepare quotations, organize project evidence, perform engineering review, deliver agreed services, maintain professional and business records, secure the service, prevent duplicate processing, and comply with legal, regulatory and professional obligations.Meta messages are intended for short initial intake. AAE may request that formal drawings, CAD files, reports, permit documents and engineering deliverables be transferred through AAE's PrivateEmail workflow using a project reference. During Meta Phase 2A review, live Meta ingestion and automatic replies remain disabled. If shadow intake is later enabled, substantive replies will still require AAE approval unless a separately controlled sending test is approved.AI-assisted review and service providers
When relevant to an inquiry or project, AAE may use controlled AI-assisted review supplied by OpenAI, Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini. These tools may help classify correspondence, review visual or technical evidence, identify missing minimum information and prepare internal recommendations. AI output is advisory: AAE remains responsible for professional decisions, and conversion or AI review is never treated as engineering verification.AAE uses service providers to operate its systems, including Meta, Carrd, Namecheap/PrivateEmail, Google services, OpenAI, Anthropic, ngrok and hosting, security or backup providers. They may process information only as needed to provide their services under their own contractual and privacy terms. Some providers may process or store information outside Canada.Disclosure
AAE does not sell personal information and does not use message content or project evidence for unrelated advertising. Information may be disclosed to service providers, consultants or project participants where necessary for the requested work; to professional, regulatory, municipal, legal or governmental authorities where required; or to protect AAE, its clients or the public.Retention
AAE retains genuine project and engineering records for the period required by applicable professional, contractual, insurance, tax and legal obligations. Non-client, spam, test and unsuccessful lead information is minimized and retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security, audit, matching or review. Backup copies are removed through normal backup rotation. A deletion request may be limited where AAE must preserve an engineering, transaction, security or legal record.Security
AAE uses access controls, macOS Keychain credential storage, signed-webhook validation, account allow-listing, attachment hashing, audit logging, duplicate and replay protection, backups and disabled-by-default sending controls. No internet service is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.Your choices
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent for optional processing, subject to identity verification and any professional or legal retention requirement. You can also manage social-media settings through Meta. See Data Deletion for the request process.Data deletion requests
To request deletion, email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request.” Include the Meta channel used, your Facebook or Instagram username or account identifier, the approximate message dates, and any AAE project reference. Do not send government identification unless AAE specifically requests limited additional verification.AAE will normally acknowledge a request within seven business days. Identity may be verified by a reply from the same account or email address, or by limited project information already held by AAE. After verification, AAE will delete or de-identify eligible Meta messages, attachments, intake classifications, queue items and non-project lead records. AAE will normally complete the request within 30 days and will confirm completion or explain any lawful limitation.AAE may retain records necessary for an active or completed engineering assignment, professional practice obligations, contracts, invoicing, insurance, tax, security, fraud prevention, legal claims or regulatory requirements. Provider backups may retain protected copies until their normal rotation completes. AAE will restrict any retained information to the required purpose and will not use it for unrelated marketing.Contact
